Colorful Snakes!!
So my Daughter turned 5 years old this week and I had this grand Idea about having a "cooking party". I decided I was going to make apron's for all the girls and they were going to roll out their pizza dough and make their own food and fun stuff. These "snakes" are the apron strings for all 6 aprons. Now 6 aprons don't sound like much, but after making 24 apron strings, You decide that making apron's aren't all what its cracked up to be!!

OK, so finally the holidays are over! Whew! that was a whirlwind. It sure doesn't feel like winter here in California. I could do without the 80 degree weather. We never get any use out of our longsleeves! All those cute shirts and dresses going to waste! Yet, I still buy them! oh well!
So do I have any new years resolutions? Secretely I guess I do. That way If nothing becomes of them, I haven't failed right? So thats the way I look at it! ;0) Alright, alright, so, I need to loose weight (who doesn't make this resolution?), Im going to spend less (another one right?), Im going to get on the ball with my business (uh? no comment!) and I think that about covers it. Hope everyone is starting out the new year right. Im TRYING, I swear!! ;0)

After reading on Nancy's Blog today http://fledgeflyingiseasy.blogspot.com/ about how she came to know Farbenmix, I thought I'd post an old favorite of mine. I came across Farbenmix A couple years back when I was looking for something "different". I loved all the fun clothing creations people were making and I just "HAD" to have a pattern. I had no idea how to read German, but decided to just "go for it" and order my first pattern off the website. After being scared to death that I wouldn't recieve the pattern, thinking "I've put in the wrong address somehow, I have no idea how much money I just paid (since I STILL couldn't read German) and so on; I anticipated a package to "hopefully" come in the mail soon, and I'd figuire out just how to make it! I remember writing an email to Sabine hoping to Good God that I somehow did all the right things for my purchase, and was exstatic that I "actually" got an email back right away! I fully didn't expect someone to read my english and sure enough I got my pattern 2 weeks later!
My guinnie pig was my daughter who was still willing to wear all the crazy things I could put her into (I just love fur!), and I made this wonderful dress and pants. Greetje was incredibly fun to make and I just loved how it turned out. I was amazed at the photo tutorials that were on the farbenmix site, and from then on, I was totally hooked. So. The first picture is my very first Farbenmix pattern. After years of MANY patterns, I decided to make another modified Greetje again just recently and the second picture is of that.
